Income Disclosure of Student Success Survey
The following information presented for compliance in disclosure of student earnings as per FTC guidelines.
$1,057,143,592 Claim
In 2021, we stated that our students have collectively generated $1,057,143,592 in sales on Amazon in their lifetimes. While not technically an earnings claim, as sales/revenue is not indicative of income or profits earned, we feel that it is in good faith to generate an earnings disclosure along with this claim.
How This Data Was Gathered
In December 2020, we emailed a survey to our 4,782 members of The Wholesale Formula program. That survey asked for students to disclose at their own discretion their name, email (to verify course ownership) and lifetime Amazon sales to date. Another 6 responses were also gathered via outside methods including personal outreach via text message, Facebook messenger, email, etc… Records of both the survey and personal outreach are kept at Ascension Consulting.
Student result numbers quantified: 960 students of our 4,782 active at the time of the survey responded to the survey and personal outreach with their sales totaling $1,057,143,592.
Students that responded on average generated $1,101,191 gross sales on Amazon.com in their lifetime. And it is to be clear that these results do not represent typical success, as 3,822 students did not respond to the survey. If we are to assume that all 3,822 students who did not see or respond to survey achieved $0 in lifetime sales, however extremely unlikely, then the average gross sales per student would be $221,067.
Over $500,000,000 Claim
In 2018, we stated that our students had collectively generated over $500,000,000 in sales on Amazon in their lifetimes. While not technically an earnings claim, as sales/revenue is not indicative of income or profits earned, we feel that it is in good faith to generate an earnings disclosure along with this claim.
How This Data Was Gathered
In June of 2018, we emailed a survey to our 2,357 members of The Wholesale Formula program. That survey asked for students to disclose at their own discretion their name, email (to verify course ownership) and lifetime Amazon sales to date. Another 22 responses were also gathered via outside methods including personal outreach via text message, Facebook messenger, email etc… Records of both the survey and personal outreach are kept at Ascension Consulting.
Students that claimed over $2.5 Million in lifetime revenue were followed up with personally by our team to verify their claim was accurate as they reported it on the survey, and that they understood the question as asked. Any erroneous claims were removed from the calculation.
Student result numbers quantified: 421 students of our 2,357 active at the time of the survey responded to the survey and personal outreach with their sales totaling $510,397,441.
Students that responded on average generated $1,212,345 gross sales on Amazon.com in their lifetime. And it is to be clear that these results do not represent typical success, as 1,936 students did not respond to the survey. If we are to assume that all 1,936 students who did not see or respond to survey achieved $0 in lifetime sales, however unlikely, then the average gross sales per student would be $263,635.
Access To Data
Legal bodies and entities such as the FTC may request written proof of these claims to dan@thewholesaleformula.com along with access to all software and platforms where that data was gathered and stored, including access to personal information of the students surveyed. Prospective buyers of The Wholesale Formula can submit for written proof of these earning claims as well with names and other explicitly identifying information redacted for the sake of student privacy.
